LHC – 4130 Chromoly Round Tubing
LHC 4130 Chromoly Round Tubing is a high-strength, low-alloy steel tubing widely used in motorsports chassis, suspension, and fabrication applications. Also known as AISI 4130, this material is alloyed with chromium and molybdenum to deliver an exceptional balance of strength, toughness, and weight savings.
The added chromium improves hardenability and corrosion resistance, while molybdenum enhances toughness and temperature resilience. This makes 4130 chromoly ideal for components exposed to high loads, vibration, and harsh racing environments.
4130 chromoly offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, is lighter than standard carbon steel, and can be heat treated or case-hardened to meet specific performance needs. When annealed, it provides excellent formability, machinability, and weldability.
