The Wilwood 200-7550 Thermlock® Piston is engineered to provide the most effective thermal barrier available for high-performance racing brake systems. Wilwood’s exclusive multi-part Thermlock® design uses a stainless steel heat shield combined with a coated aluminum shell to dramatically reduce heat transfer from the brake pads into the caliper body, seals, and brake fluid.

By reducing heat transfer by at least 25%, Thermlock® pistons help prevent seal crystallization, localized fluid boiling, and caliper distortion, resulting in improved braking consistency and extended caliper service life in sustained high-temperature racing conditions.
