The Howe 82870 Hydraulic Throw Out Bearing is engineered for racing classes requiring a stock-type clutch while delivering smooth, consistent pedal feel and reliable operation. Designed to replace one bolt on the front of the transmission, installation is quick and straightforward.

This bearing assembly includes conical shims for proper fit and is designed to work with Saginaw, T-10, Muncie, and Jerico transmissions—and others with the same 1.379" I.D. bearing retainer. The hydraulic unit measures 1.688" compressed and 2.375" extended, providing .688" of total travel.

For optimal operation, a 3/4" bore master cylinder and a minimum 6:1 pedal ratio are recommended. The bearing is built for performance but should not exceed 1,500 PSI to avoid O-ring damage.

Note: Does not fit T-5 transmissions without modification to the bearing retainer (use part #82876 for T-5). Compatible with OEM and OEM replacement clutches.

Use only DOT 3 or equivalent non-silicone brake fluid. Never use petroleum or mineral-based fluids.
